The Facility Designer I is an essential, valued member of the HDR O&M Facilities Design staff directly responsible for developing a major portion of our project deliverables. This person is self-motivated, creative, and innovative, with the ability to be a team player in an international, employee-owned Architecture/Engineering firm. Day-to-day tasks will include planning, design, and industrial equipment specifications on some of the world's most advanced vehicle maintenance facilities. The Facility Designer I will report to the Region Manager or Facility Design Manager. Primary Responsibilities Facility programming, report writing, site master planning, developing specifications and construction documents Selection, coordination, and layout of various aspects of design (vehicle maintenance equipment, site flow, etc.) Creating/using Building Information Modeling (BIM) to complete different levels of documents Submittal, shop drawing, and RFI review Conduct construction field observations Other design/engineering tasks as assigned Why HDR At HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for it's also about what you do and how you do it. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in architecture, industrial design, or a related field Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively work on multiple projects Command of Revit and AutoCAD, and knowledge of SketchUp Command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project) Working knowledge of LOD 300 requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in industrial design, facility planning, equipment layout, or workflow analysis Ability to effectively interact with and present to the client Ability to hand draw conceptual site and building plans Exceptional level of accuracy and detail Preference is given to local candidates
