What would a typical day on the job be like? What work would I do? Do you have a passion for working with children, contributing to their development, and a love for gymnastics? This may be the perfect opportunity for you! As a Recreation Program Coordinator in the Parks and Recreation department, it is your responsibility to plan, develop, and implement all components of the operation and programming of the gymnastics program at Riverview Gymnastics Center. You will plan program offerings, supervise Parks and Recreation's gymnastics team, and even instruct classes when needed. Night and weekend availability is required for oversight of the gymnastics program and facility. You will have the opportunity to supervise assigned staff, manage the budget and purchasing needs for your facility, plan and organize instructor development, and manage performance evaluations. You will also have the opportunity to assist in the development of strategic planning, operational goals, and developing policy and procedures. This is a fast paced position with many moving parts, but will provide job satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment when providing a fun environment at Riverview Gymnastics Center! How much money can I make? This position offers competitive pay dependent on qualifications, education and experience, ranging from $41,520.15 - $71,526.04. This is a full-time position that offers a flexible schedule. The Riverview Gymnastics Center is open Mondays - Fridays from 9am - 8pm, and Saturdays from 9am - 3pm. What are the qualifications for this position? This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Leisure Studies or a related field and 1-2 years’ experience in professional recreational programs, with one year of lead or supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Gymnastics and dance or cheer experience required. An acceptable general background investigation to include a local and state criminal history, sex offender registry check, and a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
