We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and energetic individual to join our company as Structural Design Engineer at our corporate office in Waynesboro Pennsylvania. This position reports to the Project Manager and is a particularly key member of our team. As an integral member of our team, you will provide complete and accurate building engineering calculations, plans, charts, scaled drawings/blueprints, and estimates for prefabricated modular buildings for multiple applications including dwellings, storage and workspaces, and construction projects according to customer requests and building specifications while driving innovation for new products and product improvements. The ideal candidate must be experienced with prefabricated modular construction and ideally also with fabrication using insulated panels and metal frames, its details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards; must be proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) to integrate architectural and engineering drafting methods and procedures. The Engineer should be able to communicate with customers, architects, and other engineers to understand their project requirements; be able to review project details with the Sales team to assure the accuracy of quotations; and work with the Operations department to assure compliance with the provided specifications during manufacturing. Structural Design Engineer Duties and Responsibilities Review and approve drawings that meet project specifications, building code requirements, and modular methods of construction using metal components Support drafters with appropriate calculations to meet specified product designs and technical requirements. Work with supplier’s technical support on the identification of materials and components that meet the required specifications Work in coordination with the Project Manager to ensure project specifications are met and the work plan is followed. Approve production BOMs, Material Lists, and Assembly Instruction Sheets for manufacturing Drive innovation initiatives that lead to better products and lower manufacturing costs Support departments as the subject matter expert for technical inquiries and guidance Collaborate with team members to interpret customer designs, specifications, and requests and coordinate their translation to the construction industry's generally accepted graphical format using computer-aided design tools while ensuring that it meets building codes Stay updated on applicable building material specifications Leading research and development projects that produce new designs, products, and processes. Ensuring the validity of methods used in manufacturing and installation to match the design Responsible for the Product Innovation Initiative (this is a company-wide idea-generating program aimed at developing improved yet simple products and processes) Structural Design Engineer Requirements and Qualifications Architect, Engineering/Building Construction, or related degree Minimum 5 years of recent experience in modular structure construction and fabrication A deep understanding of residential and commercial prefabricated modular construction practices is a must Highly proficient with structural framing and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings and specifications Proficient with AutoCAD Detail and precision oriented Motivation, personal accountability, and a positive work attitude Excellent communication and presentation skills Team Player Pay is negotiable and will be based on experience and qualifications, including the number of Professional Engineer state licenses currently held.

Required Qualifications:

Architect, Engineering/Building Construction, or related degree Minimum 5 years of recent experience in modular structure construction and fabrication A deep understanding of residential and commercial prefabricated modular construction practices is a must Highly proficient with structural framing and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings and specifications Proficient with AutoCAD
