Position Overview This team member would take on the role of Mechanical Engineer of the GridBridge power electronics hardware platforms. The individual would work as part of our closely coupled Product Development team aiding in development of all physical designs. The GridBridge team operates in an open, non-hierarchical manner to achieve efficient use of all team members’ contributions, staying flexible at all stages of the development. The individual must be highly motivated and committed to the highest level of product performance and quality. The individual must be viewed by peers as an optimist, and balance persistence with professionalism. Essential Tasks/Functions: • Take ownership of development of electro-mechanical systems. Includes design, prototyping, production, and test. • Provide documentation to aid in efficient and accurate product builds • Analysis of mechanical systems via classical and computer methods. • Interfacing with vendors to assure proper manufacture of components. • Hands-on assembly and physical production of mechanical systems. • Occasional travel to support early system bring-up and system delivery at customer. • Hands-on assembly and physical production of mechanical systems.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of related Physical development experience. • 2+ years of experience with sheetmetal design • Experience with other common manufacturing processes (machining, injection molding, etc.). • Experience with thermal/fluid analysis, design, and component selection. • Strong analytical mindset. • Self-motivated. • Effective verbal and written communication abilities. • Attention to detail. • Ability to schedule and work on multiple projects concurrently. • Ability to work collaboratively with other engineers. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • BSME/MSME with a healthy mix of practical and analytical training • CAD Experience (PTC Creo preferred), Analysis (Thermal/Structural) • Experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) • Hard working, motivated, self-starter and finisher, great attention to detail • Ability to lead or follow, as required by the project/situation
