As we expand our operations, we seek a skilled and experienced Renewable Energy Real Estate Attorney to join our legal team. As a Renewable Energy Real Estate Attorney at Hexagon Energy, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the acquisition, development, and management of real estate assets for our renewable energy projects. You will work closely with our development team, providing legal expertise to close transactions quickly and efficiently, ensuring financeability. An ideal candidate is: Dynamic and experienced attorney passionate about renewable energy and real estate law Pragmatic, solution-oriented attorney who can deliver results within an acceptable risk framework Curious to understand the business, to know the desired end product, and to find multiple solutions to reach it Strong in finishing negotiations, with the ability to adjust styles for your colleagues and counterparts Ready to provide clear explanations and useful guidance to all colleagues Hexagon Energy has room for employees to grow and develop their professional skills. This role will be focused on real estate transactions, but there is room to develop other skills in finance, M&A, corporate governance, and supporting local permitting efforts. Ideal candidates will have at least 2-3+ years of relevant industry experience with a strong preference for renewable energy experience. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Negotiate lease and purchase options and agreements with landowners and landowners’ attorneys for renewable energy projects, focusing on pragmatic solutions Draft, review, and negotiate various real estate-related agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, and land use agreements Review title commitments and ALTA surveys and supervise title curative work required to obtain title policies in preparation for project financing Work closely with title companies and buyers’ counsel to satisfy all requirements leading up to project sales Manage, develop, and improve our real estate templates, focusing on ease of use and delivering financeable projects Coach and train our developers in closing real estate transactions Stay abreast of local, state, and federal regulations impacting real estate transactions in the renewable energy sector WORKING AT HEXAGON At Hexagon, we are committed to the growth and well-being of each of our employees as we pursue our development goals. Required Qualifications:

Applicants require at least a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school with admission to a state bar. Applicants eligible for and willing to apply for admission to Virginia State Bar as corporate counsel (if not already admitted as a full member) are favored.
