As an HR Specialist, your attention to detail in recordkeeping and strength in communication will provide a solid foundation for the entire department. The HR Specialist will manage processes and databases to keep accurate records including attendance, discipline, and employee communication. In doing so, you will be responsible for: • Having a customer-focused mindset that allows you to switch focus often and serve when needed • Maintaining the time and attendance system (ADP) with the utmost accuracy including further investigating instances to find a root cause • Becoming a trusted resource to the HR Director through heavy administrative support in handling discipline, grievances, and employee communication • Administering the Employee Tire Purchase Program for all current employees and retirees • Developing high-level monthly reports and presentations to showcase departmental KPIs • Being familiar with, or having a desire to learn, FMLA laws to best track employee usage • Understanding policies and procedures outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement in order to facilitate the progressive disciplinary policy • Supporting Japanese staff, and their families, with living arrangements, utilities, government documents, and other issues related to relocating to the USA and YTMV • Seeking out process improvements and making recommendations for efficiency
Required Qualifications:
