Responsibilities include: -Supports operation of design engineering by evaluating and interpreting needs and problems, and develops effective approaches to resolve those issues. -Design and debug of digital and analog circuits manually and using design tools. -Implementation of designs using DSP and ARM, chipsets, D/A and A/D conversions. -Use creativity to improve reliability, add features, and lower costs. -Product development through circuit design lifecycle. -Product support with potential to travel as required. -Excellent communication and analytical skills and the ability to function in a fast paced high growth environment -Ability to work as a team to complete project goals, and independently to accomplish individual tasks. -Basic knowledge of Control Systems Theory. -Experienced in embedded systems design and/or programming a bonus. -C/C++/C# language skills and familiarity with/willingness to learn Python, Java, Linux, Unix, VHDL - Analysis of product performance and reliability using empirical and theoretical techniques. - Analyze and recommend changes on new designs, sources, processes and vendors. Must be familiar with 3-D solid modeling software preferably Autodesk Inventor. - Participate and assist in problem solving of Customer returns to solve and prevent re-occurrence of rejections and continual improvement activities. - Perform various studies and documentation of associated corrective actions. - Supports organizational policies and procedures and operational guide lines related to established Quality Management System (ISO/AS9100). Knowledge/Education: Applicants must have excellent communication and analytical skills and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering as well as the ability to function in a fast paced high growth environment. Located only 15 minutes from Blacksburg, MCS is located in Radford, Virginia.
