Estimated Hiring Range: $34,173.09 - $44,425.02 Based on Experience What would a typical day on the job be like? What work would I do? The Environmental Services Supervisor must be passionate about creating a clean, healthy, and sustainable workplace. In this role, you supervise a team of skilled Environmental Service Technicians in the General Services Department and are responsible for providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance are met. The Environmental Services Supervisor is also responsible for the effective supervision and administration of custodial activities including scheduling, budget preparation and monitoring, performance management, employee relations, prioritizing and assigning work and related activities. Time management and the ability to develop relationships will be great skills to have in this position, as you will supervise other employees and need to manage your time while inspecting work and training staff members. Safety is our top priority for all employees, so you will need to have solid knowledge of cleaning methods associated with hazardous chemicals and common cleaning equipment. How much money can I make? The estimated hiring range for the Environmental Services Supervisor position is $34K - $57K annually; salary is based on experience. What are the qualifications for this position? • High school diploma AND 3 - 5 years of related custodial experience; AND • 2 - 4 years of lead or supervisory experience OR • An equivalent combination of education and experience. This position is considered Essential Personnel, so you will need to report to work during and following natural disasters and emergencies. The City requires employees in this position to successfully complete the required National Incident Management System (NIMS) Incident Command System Certifications within one year of employment.
