As an Environmental Scientist you can leverage your education and knowledge in Environmental Engineering and hands-on professional engineering experience with residential; industrial and commercial land development projects. Job Responsibilities • Collecting and scientifically analyzing soil, air, and water samples to determine the level and cause of environmental contamination • Developing solutions to control, fix or prevent environmental problems • Conducting environmental research projects and preparing reports and presentations on those findings • Advising governmental organizations, businesses and the public on potential environmental hazards and health risks • Responsibilities of this position include performing Phase I environmental site assessments, field and office work related to groundwater and soil investigations and media sampling, hydrogeologic studies, remediation system installation, and industrial hygiene services including asbestos, lead-based paint and indoor air quality assessments, along with underground storage tank assessments • You will be expected to interact with staff members on various environmental projects • Other responsibilities include preparing reports and proposals, which will include interfacing with clients with regard to both project specific issues and development. • Write and review technical reports. • Assist with stormwater compliance inspections and reporting. • Thorough understanding of environmental regulations at a Federal, State, and Local level; including SWPPP and stormwater permitting • Analyze environmental legislation and regulations and determine impact on client activities. • Meet client deadlines and project budgets • Other incidental duties as needed include office clerical tasks and report production assistance Physical Demands - Work may include climbing: ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, etc. You will be required to have close visual acuity. Activities occur inside and outside, and you may be required to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment. Work Environment - The employee may be exposed to weather conditions such as wet and/or humid environments, cold and/or heat, dusty and noisy work environments. Noise levels will typically be moderate to moderately loud. Required Qualifications:

Qualifications • BS in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field • Certifications: DEQ E&S Inspector, DEQ SWM Inspector DEQ plan reviewer • Experience in sample collection, environmental reporting, environmental compliance, technical writing, or other aspects of environmental consulting from college level research, internships, or employment preferred • Experience providing excellent customer service • Team player with great interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to lift and/or move 50+ pounds • Ability to work in all outdoor climates and mobility over various terrain. • Ability to maintain a valid drivers license and reliable transportation. • Attention to detail and quality, while adhering to all safety requirements. • Effective verbal and written communication skills required. • Use of company provided equipment and working knowledge of MS Office programs.
