Sr. Acoustics Consultant

We are searching for an experienced Senior Acoustics Consultant to join our team and help support our growth. Job Responsibilities: • Design Acoustics and Noise Control systems • Serve as the project leader for assigned clients and projects • Analyze and draft reports on field collected noise data • Lead or participate in client meetings and site visits • Achieve project budget and timeline goals • Produce technical information and engineering documentation • Polysonics is based in Warrenton, VA • Due to the collaborative nature of our work, our team is primarily office based • Hybrid opportunities can be discussed on a case-by-case basis, but our preference is for someone to be within reasonable commuting distance of the office
Required Qualifications:
• 10+ years' experience in the design of Acoustics and Noise Control Systems • Proven experience writing and presenting impactful reports and proposals • A relevant degree in Acoustics or Mechanical Engineering • Advanced knowledge of sound meters and field testing procedures • Working knowledge of common architectural terms, structures, building systems and design practices • Excellent verbal and written reasoning and communications skills • Ability to read, interpret and analyze architectural and technical drawings, specifications, and other related materials • Proficiency in SoundPLAN, EASE, TNM, and Insul • MS Word, MS Excel and BlueBeam proficiency • Basic skills in AutoCad/Revit • Travel occasionally as needed • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance (if needed)
