Here’s What You’ll Be Doing: As a Data Engineer, you will work on-site to enhance and optimize our data systems, ensuring that they seamlessly support our AI/ML initiatives. You’ll work closely with Marines at the squadron level to streamline data entry and management, making sure that the systems are intuitive and efficient. Your role is not just about data engineering—it’s about becoming the bridge that connects cutting-edge technology to real-world operations, directly impacting how quickly and effectively our aircraft can be maintained. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading data transfer operations, developing and maintaining data pipelines and workflows. - Managing SQL tables, creating indexes, and querying databases for analysis. - Leveraging Azure Databricks and Data Factory to manage data pipelines and optimize workflows. - Supporting our data scientists by ensuring they have clean, organized, and timely data for analysis. - Automating processes and developing workflows to streamline data collection and management.
Required Qualifications:
- You are a U.S. Citizen. - You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (or 6 years of relevant experience). - You have experience managing data and utilizing analytics tools. - Major qualifications include experience with Python, Pandas, and PySpark. - Minor qualifications include proficiency with Numpy, Scipy, Sklearn, Matplotlib, Seaborn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch. - Cloud experience desired: AWS Glue, Redshift, AWS Lambda, and Docker. - You are experienced in object-oriented programming, algorithm design, data structures, complexity analysis, and optimization. - You’re familiar with Python, SQL, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google. - You have experience connecting APIs and managing data pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
It Would Be Nice If: - You have an AWS Professional or Specialty Certification (or the ability to obtain one). - You’ve supported DoD or VA missions. - You’ve worked with machine learning and AI technologies like neural networks and anomaly detection. - You’re proficient with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Elasticsearch. - You’re familiar with data quality assurance and have experience addressing data quality issues.
