AECOM Tishman is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Assistant Project Manager to support our exciting construction project for our technology client. Under moderate supervision assists the Project Management team with management administration on a moderate size and scope project, or a portion of a large size and scope project, following set guidelines for completion of tasks. Employee receives moderate to limited supervision working from objectives set by supervisor. Employee organizes and carries out most assignments in accordance with standard practices, instructions, or previous training. Employee handles some unusual situations independently. May interface with design team. May work closely with BIM team and use modelling software. May interact with Superintendents to address project questions/issues. Assists with and monitors change orders. May assist with regulatory compliance and financial reporting. Review project costs and scheduling to ensure completion of project within budget and in conformance with contract. Work with document control systems, project management systems and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate. Attend meetings and report on project tasks as needed. May provide technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies. Required Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements: BS Engineering or related curriculum and 2 years of relevant experience in relevant construction experience or A/AS and 4 years of relevant experience or HS/GED and 6 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications: Desire to work and learn in an MEP construction environment (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing). 2-4 years of experience in mechanical/electrical construction, renovation/retrofit/construction in commercial construction. Mechanical experience and MEP highly preferred. Prior experience in submittals, meeting minutes, project scope and scheduling. Ability to interact with many tiers of management on an active construction site. Ability to work independently. Experience working in critical environments/data center. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Experience in ground-up construction from a large General Contractor.
