We are seeking a highly motivated team player to join our team! If you are enthusiastic about civil engineering and eager to be challenged, we have an opening for a key contributor ready to make an immediate impact. ?As Project Engineer, you can?leverage your education and knowledge with hands-on professional experience working on residential and commercial land development projects. This is a Hybrid position in Fredericksburg, VA. Relocation will not be offered and candidates must currently reside in the Fredericksburg area. Job Responsibilities Create CAD drawings and details for site, subdivision, and infrastructure plans Contribute to the preparation of full sets of construction plans Site layout and utility design including water, sanitary, and storm sewer Horizontal and vertical roadway design Prepare erosion and sediment control plans Generate SWM/BMP facilities hydrologic computations Perform pavement design computations Perform site distance analysis Site and house grading Waterline analysis Complete SWM plans and design BMP facilities Prepare site work quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and bond estimates Prepare planning/zoning exhibits & plans Landscape design Traffic control design (fire lane, TMP, etc.) Utilize ITE manual, lighting software, landscaping, HY-8, etc. Perform quality control and plan reviews Plan—CDP’s, GDP’s, CUP’s, layout feasibilities, site feasibilities, grading studies, etc. Coordinate with other staff as necessary Manage deadlines and communicate progress of multiple on-going projects Assist project managers with deliverables for city/county/federal/private submissions Site visits to inspect and document conditions and/or construction progress and assist in field revisions and as-built projects (if local) Any other assigned tasks Qualifications Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience with design and management of land development engineering projects Experience with preparing and processing land development applications is preferred but not required Basic understanding and willingness to learn civil engineering concepts and locality requirements which include but are not limited to zoning/planning exhibits & layouts, utility & storm sewer design, grading concepts on large and small scales, stormwater management, landscape design, etc. GIS experience preferred Motivated and dedicated personality - willingness to learn and grow Familiarity with industry standards and requirements Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D, Hydraflow, Storm and Sanitary Analysis, WaterCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary Excellent time management and organizational skills; attention to detail Ability to work and thrive in a team-based environment, team player Ability to thrive in a remote work environment & work in conjunction with remote workers Education/Experience B.S. in Civil Engineering or similar field of study from an accredited university is preferred but not required EIT certification is preferred but not required; willingness to pursue further education and attain certifications including but not limited to EIT, PE, DEQ SWM Inspector, DEQ Plan Reviewer, Responsible Land Disturber, etc. Benefits Paid Holidays / Paid Time Off / Flex Time Company paid health insurance, also short- and long-term disability Life insurance Parental leave policy 401k plan with company match Work from home program

Required Qualifications:
