CJMW Architecture is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Architect III to join our dynamic design team. This role is ideal for a seasoned architectural professional with a proven ability to lead complex projects from conception through completion. The Architect III will oversee design development, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor junior staff while delivering innovative and practical architectural solutions. Project experience focusing on project sectors in Senior Living, Hospitality, Multi-family Residential, Higher Education, Healthcare, Municipal, and Corporate. The primary responsibility of this position is to build on the firm’s existing portfolio in these sectors to develop the practice both in service offerings and in the geographical area.
Required Qualifications:
• A degree in Architecture with active registration (NCARB preferred). • At least 7 years’ experience as a registered Architect, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in one of the following sectors: Senior Living, Hospitality, Multi-family Residential, Cultural/Performing Arts, Higher Education or Corporate. • Proficient in one of the following software programs: Revit, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, SketchUp or other relevant design tools. • Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and materials. • Demonstrated experience with permitting processes and building codes. • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. • LEED Accreditation or other sustainability certifications is a plus. • Proven ability planning, directing and supervising architectural aspects of a project from Pre-design through Construction Administration. • Project Manager and/or Project Architect on larger more complex projects. • Supervises, coordinates, and reviews work of small staff or architects and technicians. • As individual researcher or staff specialists, carries out assignments requiring development of new or improved techniques and procedures. • Responsible for finished plans, specifications or approval of materials and construction. • Possess exceptional oral and written communication skills. • Routinely interacts with organization leaders, clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others. • Is skilled in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues. • Supervision and guidance mainly concern overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts and policy matters. Consults with supervisor or principal-in-charge regarding unusual complexities and development.
