Procedura is building a technically ambitious platform with real infrastructure and compute costs. The Finance Director will establish the financial operating system that keeps runway predictable, enables fast iteration, and makes the company investor- and enterprise-ready. This is a builder role: you’ll own cash forecasting, budgeting, spend controls, accounting hygiene, and pricing/packaging support—while instrumenting compute and vendor spend so we don’t subsidize customers unintentionally. ROLE SUMMARY ***Title: Director of Finance (hands-on early stage) ***Location: Remote / NYC / Jackson, WY ***Stage: Subscription product, pre-revenue (design partners / pilots expected) ***Reporting line: CEO ***Primary focus: runway control + financial legibility + pricing guardrails CORE RESPONSIBILITIES ***1) Cash, runway, and forecasting (top priority) ***2) Budgeting and spend governance that preserves speed ***3) Pricing and packaging support for a subscription product ***4) Financial operations & accounting hygiene ***5) Investor readiness and reporting ***6) Risk, compliance, and corporate administration.
Required Qualifications:
***7–12+ years in finance roles with progressive responsibility (startup experience strongly preferred). ***Strong FP&A skills: modeling, scenario planning, forecasting discipline. ***Proven ability to set up lightweight controls without slowing execution. ***Hands-on accounting/finance ops comfort (close process, AP/AR, provider management). ***Contract fluency: can read/flag financial risk in subscription agreements and vendor contracts. ***High judgment and clear communication (exec-facing, investor-facing).
Preferred Qualifications:
***Experience with SaaS subscription pricing/packaging at pre-revenue or early revenue stage. ***Experience with infrastructure/compute-heavy products (cloud + AI inference costs). ***Fundraising support experience (seed/Series A diligence). ***Familiarity with SOC2/enterprise readiness milestones (knowing when to invest, not overbuilding early).
