We’re seeking a driven, safety-focused leader to oversee operations at a surface aggregate production facility. This role blends people leadership, production management, maintenance planning, and financial insight—ideal for individuals ready to take the next step in their operations career. What You’ll Do - Lead daily operations for a surface aggregate facility, ensuring full compliance with MSHA and all regulatory standards. - Champion safety culture through toolbox talks, audits, and consistent enforcement of company policies. - Supervise, coach, and develop facility personnel; manage performance and support career growth. - Oversee production planning, inventory management, and fixed-plant maintenance forecasting. - Troubleshoot operational, safety, and personnel issues with urgency and sound judgment. - Maintain accurate reporting (production, fuel usage, environmental/safety metrics). - Collaborate closely with Safety, Environmental, Equipment, Finance, Sales, HR, and QC teams. - Monitor financial performance and adjust forecasts to meet business goals. - Apply industry best practices in extraction, processing, and equipment operation (crushers, conveyors, screeners, electrical systems). - Support training initiatives and attend relevant industry seminars as approved. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent technical training/experience. - 2–4+ years of experience in aggregate, mining, construction, or industrial operations preferred. - Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate, coach, and resolve issues effectively. - Ability to interpret safety rules, technical documents, and operational procedures. - Solid math and analytical skills, including rate/ratio calculations and graph interpretation. - Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt in fast-moving environments. - Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and around heavy equipment. - Ability to lift 50+ lbs and safely navigate an active production environment. Work Environment This role operates in a high-activity, outdoor industrial setting with exposure to weather, moving equipment, noise, and airborne materials. Proper PPE is required and provided.
