Choosing the right clinical environment is an important step in building confidence and competence as a future veterinarian. At Croydon Pet Hospital, we are passionate about mentorship and providing meaningful, hands-on learning experiences for veterinary students and recent graduates. Our externship program is flexible and tailored to align with your individual goals and school requirements. We encourage active participation and create an environment where learning is intentional, supportive, and engaging. Students will have the opportunity to gain experience in, including but not limited to: Gathering comprehensive medical histories Performing thorough physical examinations Developing and implementing diagnostic and treatment plans Scrubbing in and assisting with surgical procedures Working alongside the DVM to manage a variety of medical cases Providing patient care and monitoring hospitalized patients Strengthening client communication skills Refining clinical reasoning and technical abilities Housing assistance can be discussed if needed.
