This position is part of a cross functional team dedicated to supporting the spectrometers and other experimental equipment in Halls A and C. Equipment includes, but is not limited to: magnet power supplies, instrumentation, and controls; cryogenics instrumentation and controls; particle detector supporting electronics; and spectrometer motion. This position will be expected to work on control systems and power supplies including troubleshooting and repair, making updates to control software, and providing on-call support during the experimental run. This position will also be responsible for learning how to operate the cryogenics system in hall C and assisting SME with cryogenics operations. Candidates for this position should have a working knowledge of basic electronics, familiarity with computers and basic programs such as MS Office, strong troubleshooting skills, and ability to think critically. Candidate will preferably have some knowledge of cryogenics or fluid dynamics, experience with PLCs/HMIs, and/or experience programming in C/C++/Python. Electronics knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and understanding of pressure-flow relationship will be tested during the interview.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics or related field. 4 or more years relevant work experience. Working knowledge of basis electronics, and familiarity with computers and basic programs

2 or more years working with PLCs/HMIs or troubleshooting electronics 2 or more years Cryogenics or other fluid systems
