Axxor North America is seeking a technically driven engineering professional to take on a hands-on leadership role within our rapidly growing manufacturing operation in Danville, VA. In this position, you will serve as the primary technical resource for equipment performance, process improvements, maintenance systems, and capital project execution. The role focuses on diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues on the production floor, strengthening the technical capability of the maintenance function, and leading initiatives that enhance efficiency, reliability, and workflow through Lean and continuous improvement tools. Responsibilities include planning and executing major equipment upgrades and new installations, ensuring effective preventive maintenance and reliability practices in partnership with the Maintenance Lead, and collaborating with Axxor’s European facilities to implement best practices. Success in this role requires strong mechanical aptitude, analytical thinking, the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly, and demonstrated experience improving systems and processes within a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications:
B.S. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. Approximately 5 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, maintenance systems, or project management. Strong analytical and technical capability, including proficiency with Excel and engineering tools. Experience leading projects, setting priorities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
