MELD Manufacturing Corporation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Intern to support our Supply Chain and Operations teams. This internship provides hands-on experience in supplier management, inventory control, ERP data management, and cross-functional operational improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and eager to learn about supply chain processes within an advanced manufacturing environment. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Supply Chain & Supplier Management Track supplier lead times and monitor on-time delivery performance. Assist in maintaining supplier scorecards and coordinating supplier performance reviews. Support vendor master data maintenance and supplier relationship documentation. Participate in supplier research, evaluation, and qualification activities as needed. Assist in identifying opportunities for supplier performance improvement and risk mitigation. Inventory & ERP Support Conduct periodic inventory audits and help reconcile inventory discrepancies. Input, update, and maintain vendor and inventory data within the company’s ERP system. Assist in organizing, validating, and cleaning existing supply chain and inventory data. Support documentation and standardization of inventory management and procurement workflows. Help ensure data accuracy and integrity across supply chain systems. Cross-Functional Projects & Analysis Attend meetings and actively contribute to cross-functional supply chain, procurement, and operations initiatives. Generate reports in Microsoft Excel related to supplier metrics, lead times, inventory movement, and procurement activities. Assist in developing dashboards, visual management tools, and KPI tracking reports. Analyze operational data and provide insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts. Collaborate with team members on special projects that enhance supply chain efficiency and performance.
Required Qualifications:
Preferred Skills Experience with data visualization tools Knowledge of inventory management and procurement principles. Understanding of supplier performance metrics and key supply chain KPIs. Experience working with large datasets and reporting tools.
