Senior Mechanical Engineer

CACI International Inc. has an immediate opening for Mechanical Engineer located in Dulles, VA. The Mechanical Engineer will take ownership of new product development from concept to production release. You will work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment, collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and test teams to deliver innovative solutions for advanced hardware systems. This role requires strong proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and simulation, along with hands-on mechanical build experience, and a background in testing components in demanding environments. Interfacing with and using PLM systems will also be required.

Required Qualifications:

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (M.S. preferred). Must be a US Citizen 7+ years of industry experience in mechanical design, analysis, and testing. Strong proficiency with SolidWorks, SolidWorks Flow and SolidWorks Simulation (other simulation tool experience will also be considered) Experience with SW PDM, and ERP systems. Proven experience creating and releasing complex mechanical models, drawings, and assemblies. Knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and mechanical drafting standards. Hands-on experience with mechanical hardware builds, assembly, and integration. Experience supporting or executing mechanical/environmental testing (thermal, vibration, shock, or structural). Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and manage multiple priorities. Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and ability to work both independently and in teams.
