Landscape Architect Summit Design and Engineering Services, PLLC, is seeking an experienced licensed Landscape Architect to work with our team in either our Raleigh, Asheville, Indian Trail or Wilmington offices. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and have excellent leadership and project management abilities. Requirements: Plans, designs and oversees development and construction of external land areas and open spaces such as parks, campus design, urban design, streetscape design, gardens and recreational areas for private and public development Prepares conceptual site drawings including subdivision road and lot layouts, parking areas and open spaces under supervision of the Project Manager Strong digital and hand graphics in complex planning and design projects Works closely with civil engineers in the preparation of site designs Perform design in accordance with local ordinances Close coordination with the client and the entire design team including owners, architects, contractors, members of other disciplines, and internal support staff to ensure the design is consistent with what the Client has envisioned, to ensure a fully coordinated inter-disciplinary design, and to ensure the design schedule is maintained Conducts preliminary studies of site to assess its potential to meet the client's specifications Prepares and presents detailed plans with working drawings, including applications for permitting and jurisdictional approvals, construction details and specifications for projects Monitors project development and provides direction and support to ensure consistent and high-quality services. Prepares costs estimates Assists in the preparation of proposals and participates in interviews and public presentations Establishes and maintains client relationships

Required Qualifications:

Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture Minimum of seven years of experience NC registered Landscape Architect Strong project management experience and to manage competing deadlines and project budgets Strong digital and hand graphics Ability to balance different demands and offer creative solutions Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills Ability to work independently as well as on teams Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Adobe Creative Suite and Sketchup or other 3D modeling software Ability to multi-task and prioritize Ability to manage and grow key relationships with clients and to market the Firm's services to clients Valid driver's license Ability to travel as needed.
