The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for the consumption and analysis of large volumes of data; identification and articulation of key trends and related financial impacts; modeling of a variety of business scenarios; and, delivering clear, insightful, and timely reporting to leadership to drive better data-driven decision making across the organization. What you'll be doing! ~Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the education market, LWT's business model(s), related operational cost structures and effective cross-functional relationships. ~Prepare insightful reporting and analysis that is distributed routinely and in a timely manner, and is customized to the audience (group, group leader, executive team and the Board). ~Analyze data and transform it into actionable insights that will be communicated routinely to business leaders in easily understood terms and presentation. ~Track, report and analyze on key performance indicators in a timely manner. ~Support the Finance & Accounting team in the development of tools, systems and processes to support data mining, customer reporting and effective workflow of inter-departmental financial and operational information; leveraging a variety of applications/tools (NetSuite, SQL, SugarCRM, Excel). ~Assist the Financial Planning and Analyst Manager in creating and implementing a planning process, inclusive of the business operating plan, capital expenditure plan, cash plan and compensation plans. ~Analyze and track financial results against plans and forecasts. ~Prepare competitive business analysis and evaluate the impact of long-range planning, new initiatives and strategies as needed to support the Financial Planning & Analyst Manager and LWT. ~Perform monthly close duties as it relates to CMS/accounting software integration and reconciliation; event, product and business unit P&L reporting; and variance analysis versus forecast.
Required Qualifications:
What you'll bring to the job! ~B.A. or B.S. Finance, Business or equivalent work experience. MBA preferred. ~3+ years related experience performing advanced financial analysis, forecasting and modeling in a Corporate Finance, Consulting or Investment Banking environment. ~Experience in educational product industry preferred. ~Experience organizing and interpreting complex, detailed financial data and presenting findings in a manner appropriate to a variety of audiences. ~Experience with ERP and accounting software (NetSuite or similar) preferred. ~Extensive experience with data mining and SQL, SSRS.
