Electronics Engineer Job Description: Design, test, inspect, and update PCBs Design, test, inspect, and update cabling and cable harnesses Create and update thorough documentation, such as requirements, specifications, diagrams and drawings Design testing routines to be implemented in-house or at 3rd party vendor sites Design assembly or manufacturing routines and instructions Along with supply chain personnel, work with manufacturers and vendors producing components and sub-assemblies Work with regulatory and certification agencies and contractors to meet requirements for approvals Engineer electrical sub-assemblies, such as an enclosure or electrical panel with PCBs, panel mount components Work alongside mechanical engineers to interface engineered components with the rest of the product Work alongside software engineers to architect and implement firmware in C++ and Python Evaluate user feedback Comply with project plans and industry standards Ensure procedural improvements after problems occur

Required Qualifications:

4-year degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or related field 5+ years of relevant industry experience Practical experience with PCB design software Experience writing and deploying firmware Experience collaborating closely with software or firmware engineers Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills Experience with following thorough documentation standards

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong working knowledge of and experience with C++ and Python firmware Experience working with an IoT product Experience with embedded radio communication technologies, i.e. Bluetooth, WiFi, and cellular Experience with I2C and other communication protocols Experience in a high-growth company Passion for plants, growing, sustainability, and indoor agriculture, highly organized, detail orientated, appreciation for customer success, tech-savvy, strong communication skills, ability to work independently and move projects forward, ability to manage others, desire to work in a very fast paced environment, desire for growth and responsibility
