PRCO America Inc. - Kentucky (Western Kentucky/Mayfield)

Reports to the Plant Manager Quality Control Laboratory set up, operations, and testing in accord with ASTM test procedures. Operate and maintain lab equipment: XRF, XRD, Porosimeter, Viscosimeter, CCS, MOR, Particle size, etc. Raw material evaluation. ISO 9001:2015 – Maintain up-to-date job procedures and safety procedures. Process Improvement Ability to trouble shoot key operational variables and communicate with International specialists to optimize performance. New Product Introduction Visit with our sales staff to observe field installation and performance of our products. Estimated travel about 25% 4-5 days per month, sometimes more, sometimes less. Requirements: Minimum Bachelor Science in Ceramic Engineering, Material Science, Metallurgy or related field.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum Bachelor Science in Ceramic Engineering, Material Science, Metallurgy or related field. Or equivalent job experience. Recent graduates and 2022 graduates encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications:

Refractory experience. Experience with XRF, XRD, CCS.MOR. Density, Poisimeter, Particle Size Distribution, etc. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control. Self-starter can do attitude, flexibility to adapt, ability to interact and communicate effectively with international specialists from various backgrounds and cultures. Foreign language skills are a plus, especially Mandarin Chinese.
